To ensure your safety, the protection of our historic collections and buildings, and the safety and enjoyment of our visitors, we ask that the following site policies and guidelines be observed in the Village:

Smoking is prohibited on site.
Eating and drinking are not permitted in the historic buildings.
Seeing eye and hearing aid dogs are welcome. All other pets must be kept on
  a leash and may not enter historic buildings.
Please do not pick the flowers in the Village.
Do not climb walls, trees, or fences, and be cautious on the
  waterfront property.
Visitors are requested to leave strollers outside the furnished houses on site.
Some historic buildings are not fully accessible by wheelchair. Please ask
  a staff member for assistance.
Rollerblades, skateboards, and bicycles are not permitted in the Village.
The use of personal stereos (e.g. walkmans/radios) are not permitted.
Visitors are encouraged to bring cameras, but are asked to use caution in their
  use. Advance notice and special permission must be sought should you have
  more complex photographic needs (e.g. electric power, artificial light,
  photography for commercial purposes). Use of cameras is prohibited during live
  theatrical performances.
